Verifactu invoicing for your WooCommerce

Finseed has an official plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce: “Finseed: Facturas Verifactu para WooCommerce”. You install it easily from your WordPress dashboard, link it to your Finseed account with a connection token, and from there your store issues Verifactu invoices automatically. You don’t need to touch any code or set up an API: the plugin detects your orders and Finseed handles the entire fiscal side.

The plugin is published in the official WordPress.org directory, with the security review and verified updates that implies. Not every Verifactu module on the market goes through that scrutiny: some are only distributed from their maker’s own website. See the installation guide.

No, and that matters for your legal protection. The Finseed plugin is a lightweight connector: it tells Finseed a new order exists, and the invoice is generated, signed and sent to the AEAT from our system, outside your WordPress.

Under Verifactu, the software that generates invoices (the SIF) takes on strict legal obligations, including a declaración responsable filed with the AEAT. With Finseed, we are the SIF, and that responsibility is ours, not yours. No. Finseed covers the full cycle with a single plugin: ordinary and simplified invoices, credit notes, the NIF field at checkout, and sending the invoice to the customer. Issuing credit notes isn’t optional: the law requires them whenever there’s a refund. Some Verifactu modules only issue them if you also buy a paid plugin from another maker; with Finseed they’re included, including for partial refunds. In Spain there is no such thing as an “official homologation” for Verifactu software: no vendor can show you an AEAT homologation certificate, no matter what their website says. What the law requires is a declaración responsable (statement of compliance) from the software maker (RD 1007/2023), and ours is public: you can download it and send it to your accountant. No, never, not even when you go live. As colaboradores sociales de la AEAT, we sign and submit your billing records with our own certificate. You only sign an authorization when you sign up, and you're ready to invoice. Every refund you process in WooCommerce automatically generates its credit note and reports it to the AEAT, without you doing anything. This includes partial refunds: if a customer returns 1 of 3 items from an order, the credit note reflects exactly that part, with each line’s tax correctly distributed. Finseed classifies every sale automatically: standard Spanish VAT in its different rates, IGIC for the Canary Islands and IPSI for Ceuta and Melilla, intra-EU B2B sales exempt with VAT number validation against VIES, the OSS scheme for B2C sales within the EU, and exports outside the EU. We validate your customers’ NIF against the AEAT census before issuing, and if an operation arrives misclassified we block it before sending it to the tax agency, instead of sending an incorrect invoice. Yes. Finseed automatically decides between a simplified and a full invoice based on the customer’s data, and keeps a separate numbering series for each type, as the regulation requires. On classic checkout, the NIF field only appears as required when the order needs a full invoice, so you don’t add friction to private purchases or lose conversion. Yes. You can correct an invoice (for a refund, an amount error or a data change), fix the customer’s name or NIF after it was issued, and void invoices, all from Finseed, always leaving the trail Verifactu requires: under Verifactu, an invoice already sent to the AEAT is never deleted, it’s corrected with the matching document, and Finseed picks the right mechanism for each case (credit note, correction or void). In the header of every invoice we issue, at the legally required size, with the AEAT verification link. Your customers can scan it to confirm the invoice was reported to the tax agency. You don't have to configure anything: it's included on every invoice type, including simplified invoices and credit notes.

You choose which order status triggers invoicing (for example “Completed” or “Shipped”). Once an order reaches that status, the invoice is issued, reported to the AEAT and emailed to the customer with your store’s branding, automatically. The plugin works with WordPress 4.7 or later and WooCommerce 3.5 or later (PHP 7.4+), including stores running HPOS (high-performance order storage) and both classic checkout and block checkout; the NIF field on block checkout requires WooCommerce 8.6 or later, and its automatic hide-when-not-needed behavior requires WooCommerce 10.1 or later. Yes, with all of them. Finseed connects to your WooCommerce orders, not your payments, so it doesn't matter whether you charge with Redsys, Stripe, PayPal, Bizum, bank transfer or cash on delivery: once the order reaches the status you chose, the invoice is issued the same way.

You can issue standalone invoices from Finseed without needing a WooCommerce order, with the same controlled numbering and the same submission to the AEAT: useful for in-store sales, quotes closed over the phone, or any sale outside your website.
