Finseed generates your invoices in the background, without changing how you charge or manage your orders. When an order comes in, we create the invoice, register it with the Spanish Tax Agency and, if you want, email it to your customer. All on autopilot.
It generates your invoices behind the scenes, without touching your checkout or slowing down your store. You keep selling exactly as before.
We detect inconsistencies in your orders and warn you before issuing the invoice, so you can fix them.
For every order we create the invoice and register it with the Spanish Tax Agency, with its QR code and digital fingerprint.
When an order is created, updated or refunded, Finseed generates the matching invoice and declares it to the Agencia Tributaria. Credit notes are generated automatically on every refund, without you lifting a finger.
Finseed listens to every order event from your store in real time. The moment an order is paid, edited or refunded, it builds the matching invoice, applies the correct tax breakdown and submits it to the Agencia Tributaria under the Verifactu regime. When an order is partially or fully refunded, the matching credit note is generated automatically, so your accounting always reflects what actually happened without any manual step.
Asking every customer for their tax ID hurts conversion. Finseed only requests it when the law requires it, for example for business purchases or invoices above the legal threshold, without bothering anyone else.
Requesting a tax ID from every customer adds friction and hurts conversion. Finseed evaluates each order and only asks for the NIF when the law actually requires a complete fiscal invoice, for example for business customers or purchases above the legal threshold. Every other customer checks out without extra fields, while you stay fully compliant for the cases that need it.
Finseed detects each order's destination and applies the matching tax regime: VAT for mainland Spain, no VAT for the Canary Islands, OSS for the EU, or exemption for international sales.
Every order carries its own tax rules depending on where it's shipped. Finseed detects the destination automatically and applies the regime that corresponds: VAT for mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, IGIC exemption for the Canary Islands, the OSS scheme for sales within the EU, or the export exemption for the rest of the world. You sell everywhere without having to configure tax rules by hand.
See at a glance how many invoices, credit notes and exempt sales you've issued each month, without opening a single spreadsheet.
Finseed keeps a running summary of every invoice, credit note and exempt sale your store issues, broken down by month. Check how your revenue evolves, spot refund spikes early and get the numbers your accountant needs, all from one screen, without opening a single spreadsheet.

Finseed is a Shopify app for issuing Verifactu invoices. You install it from the Shopify App Store and, during installation, your Finseed account is created automatically: you don’t need to sign up on finseed.es first or copy any API key. From then on, every order in your store generates its Verifactu invoice automatically and we report it to the tax agency for you.
It’s the recommended path for Shopify: installing from the App Store connects the store through Shopify’s official permissions, with no tokens and no manual setup. See the installation guide.
No. The app does not issue the invoice: it only tells us a new order exists. Finseed generates and signs the Verifactu invoice and files it with the AEAT, not inside Shopify. Under Verifactu, the software that generates invoices (the SIF) takes on strict legal obligations, including a declaración responsable filed with the AEAT. With Finseed, we are the SIF and that responsibility is ours, not yours: your Shopify only provides the order data.
No, never, not even when you go live. As colaboradores sociales de la AEAT, Finseed signs and submits your billing records with our own certificate. You only authorize the setup and start invoicing from Shopify. This is a real practical difference from other Shopify invoicing tools, which ask you to install your own digital certificate on their platform or process a separate authorization with the AEAT.
In Spain there is no such thing as an “official homologation” for Verifactu software: no vendor can show you an AEAT homologation certificate, no matter what their website says. What the law requires is a declaración responsable (statement of compliance) from the software maker (RD 1007/2023), and Finseed’s is public: you can download it and send it to your accountant. We are also colaboradores sociales de la AEAT, the official status that lets us submit invoices on our clients’ behalf. If your accountant asks for “the certificate”, send them these two references: it’s exactly what they need to see.
The deadline was postponed from 2026 to 2027: companies must issue their invoices with Verifactu from January 1st, 2027, and self-employed workers and other professionals from July 1st, 2027. Invoicing systems have been adapted since July 2025, so you can implement Verifactu on your Shopify before it becomes mandatory and make the switch calmly. We explain it in detail in this article.
You choose the moment in Finseed’s settings. You can issue the Verifactu invoice when the order is created, even if it isn’t paid yet (the recommended default, which guarantees immediate fiscal compliance), or wait until Shopify marks it as paid. In both modes, if there’s a later refund or non-payment, we generate the matching credit note automatically. The mode only changes when the invoice is issued, not the final result. How to configure when the invoice is issued.
Every refund you process in Shopify automatically generates its credit note and reports it to the AEAT, without you doing anything. This includes partial refunds: if a customer returns 1 of 3 items from an order, Finseed reads exactly which lines and amounts were refunded and issues a credit note that adjusts each VAT rate independently. When you return products or shipping and the refund is still pending settlement in Shopify, we wait until it stops being pending before issuing the credit note. More on refunds and credit notes.
Finseed classifies every Shopify sale automatically: standard Spanish VAT in its different rates, intra-EU B2B sales exempt with VAT number validation against VIES, and exports outside the EU. For cases such as IGIC in the Canary Islands, IPSI in Ceuta and Melilla, or the OSS scheme for B2C sales within the EU, we guide you through the tax setup so every operation is issued with the correct tax. We validate your customers’ NIF against the AEAT census before issuing, and if an operation arrives misclassified we block it before sending it to the tax agency, instead of issuing an incorrect invoice. See the supported tax types.
Yes. Finseed automatically decides between a simplified and a full invoice based on the customer’s data, and keeps a separate numbering series for each type, as the regulation requires. Because Shopify’s checkout doesn’t allow adding a free field, Finseed captures the NIF from several sources: the native VAT number field (validated against VIES), the tax data of a Shopify B2B buyer, a Finseed-specific metafield, or the company field. Based on the order amount we decide whether a simplified invoice is enough or a full invoice with the NIF is needed. How the tax identifier is captured.
Yes. Shopify POS orders go through the same invoicing process as online orders, including tax calculation and submission to the AEAT, and you need no setting for it. If you already invoice in-person sales with another tool, turn on the “Ignore Shopify POS orders” option in Finseed and we stop processing them. You decide which channel we invoice. Shopify POS compatibility.
Issuing Verifactu invoices requires your Shopify store’s base currency to be the euro, because invoices and their reporting to the AEAT are done in euros. You can still show prices in other currencies to your customers, but fiscal invoicing is based on the order’s euro amount. If you have doubts about your setup, write to us and we’ll review it with you. Shopify frequently asked questions.
Every invoice we issue carries the Verifactu QR code in its header, at the legally required size and with the AEAT verification link, so your customer can confirm the invoice was reported to the tax agency. Finseed can email the invoice to the customer on your behalf automatically, and it also generates a per-order invoice page you can link from your Shopify emails or from the customer’s account, so they can download it whenever they want. How invoices are downloaded.
Yes. You can correct an invoice (for a refund, an amount error or a data change), fix the customer’s name or NIF after it was issued, and void invoices, all from Finseed, always leaving the trail Verifactu requires: under Verifactu, an invoice already sent to the AEAT is never deleted, it’s corrected with the matching document, and Finseed picks the right mechanism for each case (credit note, correction or void). Your numbering always stays correlative. How to void an invoice.
Yes, with all of them. Finseed connects to your Shopify orders, not your payments, so it doesn't matter whether you charge with Shopify Payments, Redsys, Stripe, PayPal, Bizum or bank transfer: once the order reaches the moment you chose, the Verifactu invoice is issued the same way.
You can issue standalone invoices from Finseed without needing a Shopify order, with the same controlled numbering and the same submission to the AEAT: useful for sales outside your website, quotes closed over the phone, or any one-off sale. And if you run several online stores, you can connect them all to the same account, each with its own invoicing series. How to issue standalone invoices.
Yes. You set up your series starting from the number you’re already at (for example, if your last invoice was F-2026-0341, the next one will be F-2026-0342), and numbering continues without gaps or duplicates. You don’t need to wait until January 1st to switch invoicing systems on your Shopify. Configure your numbering series.
Yes, and whenever you want. Your invoices and your data are yours: you can export them at any time, even if you downgrade to the free plan, and you keep access to your history for inspections and for your accountant. Choosing an invoicing system shouldn’t be an irreversible decision, and we don’t want customers who are trapped: we want customers who stay because the product works. How to export your invoices.
Yes. If you build or maintain Shopify stores for clients, you can manage several companies from Finseed, and we run a partner program for agencies and freelancers. Setup is the same as for your own store (the app from the Shopify App Store), and the free test mode lets you validate the integration on each project before going live. Check the partner terms.
From €14.95 a month, with a genuine monthly subscription: you pay month to month and cancel whenever you want, with no commitment and no annual payment upfront. Every Verifactu invoicing feature is included on every plan, with no invoice limit, and you can connect several stores on any of them. Before you sign up anywhere, check the fine print: in this market it’s common to advertise a “per month” price that’s actually billed as a prepaid annual licence, or to cap the number of invoices per plan. See plans and pricing.
Yes, with the free, unlimited test mode: you connect your real Shopify store, issue test invoices and see exactly how everything will work, with nothing sent to the AEAT and no card required. When you’re ready, you switch to live mode and start invoicing for real. How to go from test to live mode.
